DevOps as a Service

What is DevOps?

DevOps is the operational lynchpin between development and systems administration and is typically involved throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC), especially during deployment. Usually a DevOps engineer has a shared knowledge of both network administration and programming and assists both of those disciplines by managing the tools those teams need.

For example, a DevOps engineer might develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for deploying rapid scalable networks, manage repository branching for parallel development sprints, and CI/CD pipelines for deployment cycles. Everything from project management systems like JIRA to operations automation, ticketing systems, and even development team package management falls within the scope of a DevOps engineer’s role. Even on smaller teams and smaller networks, DevOps engineers are responsible for handling separation of duties tasks that developers may not be permitted to do in security framework compliant networks.

Why use CloudArmory for your DevOps needs?

As a partner of Arcane Strategies, Cloud Armory has an extensive history of software development. All of our resources are senior engineers with decades of hands-on experience writing code.  With security reviews being a necessary component of the segregation of duties mandate in most security standards, you want your production-accessing network engineers to have the capacity to perform knowledgeable code reviews.  This is an incredibly rare find but exposing too many teams to your production network is both expensive and insecure.

With Cloud Armory’s network engineers, you’ll gain a valuable partner that’s capable of identifying security and stability flaws in your pull requests to production.  We’ll utilize cutting-edge code review software and penetration testing techniques to review pull requests and existing production code as well as a hands-on line-by-line review as needed. We’ll also extend that knowledge to your network infrastructure so that IaC pipelines are engrained in your disaster recovery procedures for maximum uptime and reliability. Our team will build you automated, scalable pipelines that integrate seamlessly with your existing workflows so you can ship faster, safer, and with confidence.  We work with a host of CI/CD, compilation, IaC, and package management tools to ensure a compatible relationship between your development team and network engineers.
